I really enjoyed university- Newcastle is a great place to live and there are lots of fun things to do! I was a bit nervous when I moved away from home, but I lived in a large halls so made lots of new friends. On my course we got to go abroad for one of the modules, which was a really great experience. I went to Sweden to research a brown bear conservation project!
I loved it! I went to art college, so I was surrounded by lots of fun and creative people – it was a very colourful and inspiring environment. I stayed at university for a very long time, as I did a Masters and a PhD. This was very hard, lots of long hours and lots of time on your own. But it was worth it, and you do meet lots of very kind and supportive friends who will stay with you for life 🙂

Hard. No social life. Had to do it in the evenings whilst working full time, although I do not regret it.
